what is the maximum time Npower have to produce my Final Bill, its been a month and a half since my Electric was taken over by SP, and still Npower have failed to give my final bill,
I have complained, and I got back, sorry we still haven't produced your final bill, we are still working on it??
is it worth going to ombudsman? or do I need to wait abit longer?

You can't go to the ombudsman until you've exhausted the supplier's own complaints procedure or until 8 weeks after you've initiated it so your best bet is to send in a complaint, marked compaint - by letter - to start the clock ticking.
Don't forget to keep copies of all correspondence, fighting over the phone is a waste of time as you don't have a record, either use E-mail or recorded delivery snail mail.
It took me ten and half weeks to get my final bill & £130 credit from Scottish Power when I swapped.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
yeah I emailed the complaints team, and had a response from them as above, so I guess that starts the time ticking re the 8 weeks?
is there a set time Npower have to produce a bill ? from point of take over?
did you complain or did u just wait it out if u don't mind me asking0 -
I registered a complaint with SP after 28 days, I reminded them at one week intervals after that.
I got my refund, direct into my bank account, 73 days from switchover and three days before I received a "deadlock" e-mail informing me that they had issued a bill three weeks previously which was attached to the deadlock e-mail.
The bill was in fact dated 52 days after my transfer but it had not been sent to me either by e-mail or snail mail nor was it in my online SP account, so I was unaware of it's existence.
As a matter of interest, I still haven't got a final statement with a zero balance even after 14 months. The last statement I have still reckons they owe me £133.73. I have no way of accessing my account to see if it was updated.
10 days later I got a text on my mobile inviting me to stay with SP as they had some "fantastic deals". I politely declinedNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
just got another reply from complaints team, they again apologised for the delay in producing my bill, I,m £40 in credit on the final bill, and as a good will gesture they gave me £50 also lol, the bill should show in my account in a few days, so all in all not bad,
just shows it pays to complain:)
thanks for the replys anyway0
