Defaults nearing 6 years-what happens/changes?

Me and my ex husband have numerous outstanding debts. We defaulted on them all almost 6 years ago and have been with CCCS/Stepchange since paying a very minimal amount. What happens once we get to 6 years with our credit file, the debts etc? Are they removed from our credit file? Are we more likely to have them written off etc. Any info would be very appreciated xx :T

Yes the entire account entry (including the record of default) will be removed from your credit file.

Unlikely to make a difference to getting your debts written off or getting them to agree to a reduced full & final settlement.
