its a 50/50 ratio to council or housing association , but they offer low rent homes not on 6 month leases. one does secure, other assured, but not those stupid 6 months shortterm assured that btl does

And rents are never going to go up and housing benefit etc is never going to go down. Councils money is currently very tight and about to go tighter, sooner or later they are all going to start charging an economic rent - to finance waste disposal & all the rest, they are going to have to.

council rents have a 10yr deal done its cpi plus 1%, seems a good deal to me, free upgrades and repairs, councils profit from rent as the mortgages are well clear on homes build in 1960
