Local supplier comes good.

I've been looking for some replacement RAM, for my laptop.

Contacted one of the major electronics retails (name begins with M), who quoted me £49-99.

Was on my way to buy it, when I decided to pop into my local sole trader, PC repair shop.

Got it from him, for just £25.

M are notoriously expensive for that kind of thing (or indeed most things). They are a last resort only.

You could probably have got the RAM online for less cost than even the local shop. ;)

    Tried online.

Couldn't find anything close to £25.

    Assuming this?

    Generic available for £24 delivered

    Crucial available at £31.98 delivered

Doubt a bricks and mortar shop will sell a genuine, branded, new stick for £25.
