Mortgage application tomorrow TERRIFIED!!

Hi Jhoney / everyone
Thought I would quickly update you. In answer to your question yes I did get the guy at O2's name and have much email correspondence to support my dispute. I was actually really lucky as he responded to my dilemma very quickly and helped resolve the credit file issue, so the default is as if it never existed on my credit file now. Phew!
So after a week of stress and looking into all options, I got a call from Barclays today to say the underwriters have overturned the decision based on my evidence and now corrected credit file
I am over the moon and this means I can finally proceed with my mortgage application and, all being well, my family will be able to move into our dream home!
Thank you all once again, your help and support has been amazing and I continue to read people's experiences and questions on here for further knowledge and advice.

Great to hear that it resolved successfully for you CJ. Sometimes the key to fixing these issues ids keeping a tag on your contact.
Ironically, subsequent to my reply on your thread, I found an incorrect fraudulent entry on one of my CRA files which was not previously there. I got in touch and they removed it within 48hrs.
It did not appear on the free multi agency one so I can only say to anyone reading this keep checking your files as things turn up all the time - I don't know if it stays free if you cancel after trial period etc but they appear to be able to add things retrospectively e.g all clear 2012 became weird extra info dated 2011? The CRA reserve the right to add things that 'may' fit your records even if they don't and you can see from your own experience how they deal with genuine lender errors .
Glad to hear it has been resolved to your satisfaction,

CRA have just emailed to confirm they are sending written confirmation in the post, as they originally sent an email. I then asked for a hard copy notification. It takes up to 7 working days if that helps anyone.0

I have today received the said written confirmation requested. Just thought I would credit them with resolving the matter in a timely manner.0
