    Where's the best place to start researching ftse 100&200 companies and then to compare the various products mentioned?

    Only one person who has been (rightly) shot down for this highly risky approach.

    OP, I suggest you make yourself a cup of tea and start reading the thread again from the top. Putting your money into (a small number of) single shares is VERY risky.
    Thinking critically since 1996....

    ...watch all the videos - you'll learn a lot and it seems easier to take in when someone is telling it to you than it is reading it from a book.
