you get Gorgonzola dolce (mild, soft) and Gorgonzola piccante (drier, much stronger).

    Anne Marie,

Lidl, on the other side, have both dolce and piccante Gorgonzola as a standard item now. In my store they stock both together so sometime it looks like only one is in stock but usually both are hiding there.

Thanks Mands, much appreciated. Hopefully will be heading over soon. If you ever find Cambazola let me know please. Still, at least Tempo here has a good cheese counter these days, compared to a few years back.

Thanks Caterina for your very informative post, much appreciated. Thought that I had replied earlier, so a bit embarrassed. :o

    ....

No need at all to be embarrassed, glad I could be of some help! :)
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Oh, I've seen Cambazola somewhere! It could have been on a Carrefour cheese counter but they've dumbed those down so much in recent years that it's probably long gone.

I'll keep an eye open and shout if I see any.

Thanks so much, you are a wee star. :A Also, if I see it, will let you know, not that I go down south much. When I do, I tend to stock up to the max of my allowance.

Know what you mean about the dumbing down bit, but not really surprised due to the economy.
I used to be able to get a lovely Wasabi cheese, which I haven't seen in a few years now. I just mixed up some strong cheddar with Wasabi paste, and that had the same taste, so was a lot cheaper anyway. I know that the Wasabi paste tubes you buy are not true Wasabi, but you sometimes have to take what you can get.
