Price notebooks

I really wouldn't bother doing a notebook. I would write a list and check it on mysupermarket and if you see something whilst you are out check on the app.

I did it for a while and found it great for me understanding what is a good price for cheese/chicken/what ever... For fresh produce I would write out the price per kg. In my shops this is nearly always written on the shelf underneath the price. I would note if there was something difference/special about the product, cherry tomatoes versus vine, etc... but generally I'm just comparing standards. I now know where I always buy my coffee from. I know that eggs can very hugely from week to week/shop to shop. I don't track rarely used products - e.g. Mayo/Ketchup that I only purchase once a year. I haven't don't it in a while but from reading at the time it was suggested that it is re visited periodically, say monthly.

Thank you for the ideas unfortunately I can't just go with an app as my phone isn't up to it and with a possible redundancy pending I won't be buying that iPhone 5c I was saving up for as it just doesn't feel right to spend that money. So for now it's my little notebook

I know it's not savvy but factoring in petrol costs and how much free time I have available I do tend to stick to the one supermarket - A$da is normally the one cheaper than mr t for me but I'd have to spend a lot more driving over to the next town that has a decent sized store. So I'm planning on keeping track of the regular things I buy from there and so when I'm passing a shop I instantly know what I paid before and if it's a good deal

I was looking for an indexed book to store all of my passwords (!!!) The address book I used before, ended up such a mess, with lots of changes and wasted spaces. I now use index cards in a file which is more flexible and one card can be scrapped and replaced when really messy!
You can scale it down by re-using the backs of business cards in a wallet or punched and stored on a key ring.
They can even be laminated and written on with one of those wipe clean pens.
I know this sounds obsessive but I like tidy pages...:o hth
