Has anyone bought a Medion Akoya E4066 D from Asda?
If so, could you tell me if it came with any DVD/CD burning software?
If yes, what is it called/where do I find it.

You don't need burning software specific for your Medion- most burning software is compatiable with certain versions of Windows (XP, Vista, 7, 8 etc) instead of particular machines. Heck, you can even burn music CDs with the inbuilt Windows Media Player- or data CDs from within Windows itself!

Nothing at the moment.
It's a brand new machine, and I can't find any burning software.
My previous machine came with Nero Burning Rom, and I expected to find something similar on this one.0 -

It's usually a trial version of Nero that manufacturers bundle with new machines, encouraging you to pay out for the full version of the software (that's why the machines can be cheaper- Nero will pay Dell or whoever to do this).
There are several free options for you to choose from, depending on the task in hand- e.g. making audio CDs is easy with Windows Media Player, or copying photos to disk is also super easy using Windows.
Creating a video-DVD is slightly more complicated as you will likely need to install additional software such as DVDFlick, but it's still easy (and free!).
Or you could buy another Nero license, starting at £39.99The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

As already stated Windows will burn disks directly
but for a more traditional burner interface take a look at DeepBurner ( its also freeware )

Just need to drill down in the web site a bit to find the free version0 -
DeepBurner (the free version) is a great, lightweight and easy-to-use program if you just need to burn data disks.

EDIT: Oops! Should've read the last post! In that case, I second the suggestion for DeepBurner!

Cheers for the info and advice everyone.
In the end, I've gone for easy/familiar, and bought a copy of Nero.0
