One of the major parties has stated that if they get in to power they will freeze energy prices, of course energy companies wont be lowering their prices when they have that hanging over their heads.0

On a positive note, whilst the energy suppliers delay reducing standard variable prices, switchers will get the benefit of better deals than would otherwise be available.
