Hi, My mother has just come back from opticians and has paid for bifocals to the tine of £229 and that is with an NHS voucher. Boots is where she got them from. I am convinced that I can get them cheaper. Can she go back in and cancel them and get a refund?

Surely the time to do your research is before the purchase is made, not after?
If they have already sent the order off for manufacture, I fear you will be unlucky.
Anyway, you are entirely dependent on Boots' cancellation policy.
In the absence of any such policy, one should always assume that any purchase in a physical shop/store is final, and anything more than that is only due to the goodwill of the seller.0
