Windows Media Centre Issue

Using Windows Media Centre on a Win 7 machine to watch television via an August USB TV tuner.
WMC insists on using my hard drive to store a buffer of the channel I'm watching just in case I want to turn back up to thirty minutes previously. I don't need this and I hate seeing my hard drive being constantly thrashed with this needless activity.
Looking at WMCs menu settings it has allocated 59GB for this activity as a default  and I can find nothing in the WMC menus to turn this off.
Anyone found a way of disabling WMC's use of the hard drive when watching live TV?

Appreciate your input bod but I've been through all those WMC menus. It has allowed me to limit hard disc usage to 5GB as a minimum but there is no setting to turn off hard disc usage altogether, so the hard disc is still thrashing away whenever I watch a program live. Very annoying.
I'm wondering if anyone has discovered a registry hack to solve the problem.... DaveHappily retired and enjoying my 14th year of leisureI am cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.Bring me sunshine in your smile0 -

I guess that's how WMC (and most DVR's) is programmed. There is no such thing as "LiveTV" in there, it always records to hard disk and plays it back at the same time or slightly delayed.
I use MythTV and barely watch "LiveTV". I record what I want and watch it when I want. Life's too short to surf channels or try be at home at ten to watch the news...0
