Hi there
I have now received the proceeds from my work sharesave scheme so have replaced the money that I borrowed from my ISA, kept back some to buy a new car this month and made an overpayment of £66.61 to the mortgage.
Couldn't resist it! :j0 -
Pay day and another £700 transferred across to the mortgage.
My spreadsheet tells me that the balance at the end of the month will be approx £76300.
Next payment will be the normal monthly instalment of £432 on 1 November. I am aiming for an overpayment of £721 when we get paid on 20 November.
Great to see the balance coming down. :T0 -
Payday again and I have transferred £600 over to the mortgage.
Not as much as I would have liked but need to be sensible and leave enough for us to enjoy the festivities.
Next overpayment will be when we next get paid, probably a bit earlier next month due to Christmas.0 -
Well done Flower! You're on a roll😃Starting balance £173,000 (Sept 2012) interest only so if we do nothing We will owe this at the end of the term😁😁

Balance as of Feb 2015 £163,360
Balance end of July 2015 £159,050
Balance as of Jan 2017.... £138,033:j0 -
Thank you Cariad71.
We had a great Christmas and were unable to make the payment we had hoped from our December pay unfortunately..... Husband wanted a PS4 and we had a few other treats!
But today is payday so have transferred £700 across to the mortgage!
We have overpaid by over £12k since we started the mortgage just 18 months ago. Weird to think that the balance would only have reduced by £3k if we had not have done the overpayments! Just shows its all worth it and we are making progress.
Still on track to repay the balance after our fixed rate finishes in July 2019.
Next overpayment will be on next payday on 20 February (all going well)!

It's payday at last and I have transferred another £700 over to the mortgage. Not as much as I would have liked but still enough to make quite a difference to the balance. Our balance at the end of the month will be approximately £73333.
Still waiting for a payment from quidco which is well overdue but will pay it to the mortgage when received.
Normal payment of £433 will be paid on 1 March and next overpayment will be on 18 March. I'm hoping that i will be able to manage £1100 so that the balance reduces to a nice round £72000.
Keep up the overpayments.

Well it is payday again and I have transferred the £1100 to the mortgage which will make the balance a nice and tidy £72000 at the end of the month. Really pleased with that.
Also paid £1000 in to my pension and £1300 in to husbands pension - bonuses received from work.
Next overpayment to mortgage will probably be on 20 April on next payday. Hoping for £750.
Keep overpaying!

Another small overpayment made to the mortgage - needed to complain to the bank and given £30 as a gesture. Not expected so a nice little bonus which takes the mortgage balance in the right direction!0

Not much, but a small payment of £4.39 transferred to the mortgage to make overpayments so far £14000 since the start on 24/7/14. Another £4000 needed to reach the maximum overpayment allowed by 23/7/16.0

Just done a bit of Tilly tidying and transferred £10 over to the mortgage.
Funny how it all adds up and will make more of a difference on the mortgage :j0
