Quick update, my mum just told me they only paid half of the deposit.
On the agreement the deposit section is blank :eek:. I guess that is another error on my mums part?

Isn't it amazing, the Estate Agent hoping to sell her flat will want a 2% commission or something. Will they do anything to help with the legal tenant removal stuff? Not likely.
Anyway there are tons of "we'll boot 'em out for you" agencies around, some charge on success only. Try to find a reputable one, if that is not a contradiction in terms.0 -

Why would an estate agent contracted to sell the property have anything to do with the tenancy?
I have no idea what you mean by a "we'll boot 'em out for you agency". I really hope you're not suggesting that the OP's mum pay someone to conduct an illegal eviction as that would be a criminal offence.0
