Okay, we have sold our house and the buyers surveyor picked up that the electrics need checking - potentially with an RCD fitting.
Now, who should pay for the electrican to do these checks? As far as I'm concerned they put an offer in, if they want these elctrics checked then they pay for them.
Thoughts?

I am assuming you haven't exchanged, if you have then tell them to stuff it!
If you haven't exchanged perhaps offer 50/50 to keep them sweet, although in general I would say the buy pays for all surveys and checks, and if any work is needed, then negotiations start on who pays or lowering the house priceWeight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -

A surveyor's report will always state that electrics should be checked by an electrician.
Indeed, a surveyor is not qualified to give a professional opinion on the electrics.
It is up to the potential buyer to commission such check and to pay for it.0 -
I would offer to pay half in return for a copy.
