Can I make a simple will for free? - I don't need a solicitor
I have read a few articles on making a will and they all seem to cost money
I'm just wondering, who would i be paying, what is it I would be paying for and why could i not just do this myself?
Ive looked at Saga which seem cheap but i am still wondering what they will be doing for £60?
Is it just for the template???

When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?

You are paying for no mistakes.
Solicitors make more money cleaning up after self-written wills than they do for checking them.
You can get a free template and write it out yourself but considering the end cost as opposed to the checking cost, where would you rather your money went?0 -

Read it already - They all cost, and doesn't say what the money is actually going on - built on the assumption that Joe Public should just cough up "just because" and stop asking questions, which Im sure most doWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -
I'm paying £80 for a solicitor written will , fairly basic split between beneficeries but I did'nt consider it worth the risk of doing a free/online for the sake a few £'sEx forum ambassador

The solicitor isn't checking for spelling mistakes, He's checking for legal mistakes you may have made.
For example if you've fallen out with all your family, and decided to write a simple will saying you wished to leave everything to the dogs home.
How would that be shared ? ...... 'Everything' ! You need to be a bit more specific .....'the dogs home' !! Which dogs home ?
You need to be careful or the family that you may not to get anything can get the lot.
Yes you can do it yourself but read a lot first to make sure you're getting it right.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

You can buy will writing kits from ebay and Im sure WH Smith used to sell them. Ive also seen a few groupon type offers lately for a single will for £19.99 so its worth keeping an eye out.

I made mine through will relief scotland, cost me around 90 pounds and the money went to charity, I had thought about writing my own but in the end thought Id be better getting it drafted by a solicitor.0
