So after recommendations on here i downloaded irfanview. It seems a good bit of software but i am used to my photos being shown on microsoft picture and fax viewer.
When i wanted to resize a picture so that i could upload onto photobox for printing i used to right click, resize the picture to small and then it would be 50 to 100 kb instead of 2-3 mb.
I downloaded the software so that i could to resize multiple pictures at once, is this possible with the software? How do i do it??
What other good things are there about this software?
Sorry it it is simple but am a bit slow with computers!
Thanks Neil

Open Irfanview and press F1. To resize multiple images use the batch facility which is explained in Help. It is good for capturing screen dumps as well as many other things. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

very easy to do though, one thing to remember is to make sure you specify a new output directory so that you do not overwrite your original images.0 -
Thanks both but when viewing the picture by double clicking on it, it goes huge using irfanview. Is there a way to change the size so that when double clicking on it it is viewable?

You presumably ticked the "resize image to window" - works well for the large images, but as you've now made them much smaller, IrfanView will be stretching them to fit the window. Go back to the top selection in View, Display Options...0
