Anyone technical know how to fix monitor resolution issues?
Laptop is on normal resolution 1366 by 768 but software and laptop warn me its lower than 1200 by 900?

The only thing I think its related to is I often use a HDMI Cable and link it to my TV.

Is it only happening when you're connected to your TV?
Is your system running Windows? If so, you can right-click on the desktop and change the setting to an extended desktop; without that, you will get the same thing on bot displays, but the resolution will be that of the lowest.

1366x768 is only 768 pixels tall. 1200x900 is taller (900 pixels).

1,049,088 vs 1,080,000 pixels - so, yes, 1366x768 is "lower" than 1200x900 in height and in total area (or pixel count).

Is it actually causing a problem beyond that message? If not, just ignore the message! :)

Slayerx, I just solved the exact same problem on a new laptop by going to display and changing text and other items size from medium (125%) back to smaller (100% default).
The warning has gone now and my desktop icons (classic shell) are back to correct size also. Mine is a brand new laptop that I am just setting up but didn't have that warning initially. Can only think a windows update may have changed the text size setting. Hope that works for u too.

And for both of you, the obvious question - 'what resolution is your laptop's screen?' - plenty of brand new laptops around with this (a bit poor these days) resolution.

1366x768 (recommended) when I go to display if that's what u mean?

If it says Recommended and doesn't offer any higher resolution option, then that's the native (maximum) resolution of the panel.

    Yep, no higher option.

Yep, so that's the HIGHEST resolution you can go to, on your laptop screen. That's the screen limitation.
Now, plug into another screen - for example a 'full HD' screen - that's 1920*1080 in resolution speak. If your graphics card is capable (and anything under, say, 5 yrs old should be), then you can go up to that resolution, on that screen. You'll need to go into those same settings, to make sure it's at the right resolution.
