Missing table - who is liable?

Ordered a dining room suite, which should have been delivered New Years eve. Dresser and tv stand arrived, table was listed on docket as 'four legs' and was missing, despite apparently being booked out of the warehouse. The chairs weren't delivered, as they were down as to be collected.
Contacted store on Friday and was told salesperson worked in a different branch now and would contact me re delivery. Nothing heard to date.
Is it the branch we bought from, or the salesperson who is responsible for sorting this out?
Thanks!

What a strange question.
Did you buy from an individual or from a company?
Clearly the individual who sold the goods was acting on behalf of the company and it is the company that is responsible.
However, it is perfectly reasonable for the company to want to check details with the individual to try and work out what exactly has gone wrong.0 -
It was from a company and the local branch has all the order details on computer system and no-body has come back to us with an explanation since Friday morning.
Delivery docket said - four table legs
Warehouse system said - item in stock and booked out to us on van
Shop has original order and I assume link to warehouse for stock checking purposes, so I would have thought any member of staff could check what has happened.
Worried that they may try and say that, as it was booked out, checked onto van (and signed docket confirms this), We are lying about delivery.0 -
Its only Sunday maybe they are waiting to speak to the driver or trying to establish the whereabouts of the table...it's clear from the delivery note that rather strangely there were only legs and no top so can't see you having a problem... just be a little patient.0

It was just to ask whether I need to bug the store or the salesperson about sorting this. Will call them again tomorrow.0
