Max mint limit for new application

in Credit cards
I'm considering applying for a mint card for an offset stooze, mainly because anecdotal evidence on this site is that natwest limits are amongst the lowest given, so the extra 0.5% BT fee should be outweighed by the higher mint limit. However the mint site says that the max limit on the classic card is £7,500 (extract below)
Minimum monthly payment greater of 2.25% of outstanding balance or £5. Maximum credit limit - £7,500 classic. The MINT Classic Mc2 card is for UK residents aged 18 or over, earning at least £10,000 per year.
Does anyone know if, as part of the onlne application, it can award you a gold/platinum card with a higher maximum limit (subject to satisfactory credit criteria being met, naturally)? I would hope for a limit of at least 10k.
Has anyone applied recently (say this year) and got a limit greater than £7,500?
Thanks in advance.

Mint give out dreadfully low limits for some reason. I was offered less than £1k and so was my brother and he earns £30k+ and has an excellent credit rating.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0

For me, my mint limit was in line with that of any other RBS group offering (on the low side).0

Thanks to you both - think I'll give it a miss then and avoid the rbs/natwest/mint camp.0
