Useless Thomson Vouchers

I got £100 worth of vouchers recently, to help out with one of the trips I have got ~ planned this year.
Basically it was meant to help go towards a flight/hotel for one of the european half marathon/marathons I would like to take part in this year.
Its a great gift - with the exception that Thomson dont do 'breaks' to major cities. I suspect the vouchers might have been missold(or mistaken for Thomas Cook), however as this was a gift from someone it would be impolite to hand them back.
Whats the best way for me to extract the value from these vouchers, to be used as intended?

Have you been into a shop and asked them if it's possible to do what you want to do?0

I'm going to try and get into a shop next week, however I presume that I will get the same answer to an earlier email.
Response -My parents were sold vouchers to give for my birthday to be used towards one of my trips in 2015 - I'm taking part in multiple marathons/halfs in Europe, and these vouchers were to help pay for these weekend breaks to - Lisbon, Copenhagen, Venus for example - so that I could organise where I will stay myself.
Looking on your website, and calling the number below I am unable to use these vouchers at these locations, so can you please help advise otherwise - is there a sister site I can use these at
I suspect one of two things - my family confused them for Thomas Cook, where you can spend their vouchers on a flight/hotel for many city breaks, or were duped into buying the wrong ones instore(these are in an instore booklet). As it was a gift for my birthday I would rather sort this out myself, even if it means selling for a small loss. At least that way I would get some value out of them as I dont like handing presents back. If the value of these vouchers was more, then of course I would ask my family more about how they were 'sold', and if this is the case - it is their word against the shop purchased. You wouldn't be able to use Thomson and First Choice vouchers for these places as it is not somewhere that we travel too.
Please advise who you purchased these from? All of the terms should be clearly stated on the vouchers for you so it will show what and where you can use this for.0 -
Good luck, hope you can sort it out.
Are they transferable, sometimes these things aren't.
Let us know how you get on0 -
I only know about Thomas cook vouchers but theirs you can use to buy anything they sell ie uk, airport lounge, Thomson hol, ski hol anything other than money. I would have thought thomsons are the same and they do sell city breaks. You could sell them on ebay if desperate.0

Have they got your name on them or is it just a gift voucher.
Can you buy a flight or put it towards a flight through one of their shops?0
