So just seen the thread about Amazon prime, can't believe I got caught out and had been charged £79 last summer! Never used any of the benefits as I rarely shop on it, so cancelled and got a refund :) a bit more to go towards the debts when it arrives.
Half term with the kids this week so doing lots of free or cheap things to keep them busy. So a trip to the park yesterday with friends as the sun was out, then the snowdrop walk and another park with different friends today!
Daddy is going to entertain them tomorrow, probably in the garden if the wether is ok, and I'm going to grab a few hours to study. The kids enjoy helping in the garden, it all needs preparing for the veggies!

    :)

So another successful day on the money saving! We are in the process of looking at our mortgage, and have applied to change, and if accepted, we should save about £35 per month, not a huge saving, but it all helps! Also we have switched our gas and electric which will save us about £5-£10 per month. Looked at the credit cards and we are going to keep things as they are as the balance transfer fee means that its not worth transferring.
Feel like things are slowly getting better!
Took the kids to a holiday club run by the local church this morning, which they love going to and its cheap!
    Then a chilled afternoon.
Off to the inlaws for a couple of days to finish off the half term, which will be lovely :)

thanks f0nz, it was lovely to get away, back to normality though now!
Spent the morning cleaning and washing, my dad took littlest son swimming and back to his for lunch so been nice to get some jobs done. Should be a no spend day today.
Also need to get this diet and exercise plan started properly, have only lost 2lbs since january 1st, which is just not good enough!!!
Just need to get in the right mindset :)

Also, just had a letter about a CC that has nothing on it, offering us a 0% deal for 18 months on balance transfers, so think we will go ahead with this and save some interest! Although I am hoping it will be paid off in less than 18 months. Saving £30 ish a month in interest will help us pay it off faster so will get DH to look at this later :)

Really need to try again selling on facebook, think that may be a task for this afternoon :)

New mortgage has been accepted, only £26 cheaper, not quite as much as I thought but still a saving. Once the debts are cleared then hopefully we can start overpaying on the mortgage, would be lovely to pay it off early :)
