new to ebay selling

I have a few items I wish to offload and someone suggested putting them on ebay. Not sure if it's just gonna be a waste of my time.

Can anyone tell me the answer to these questions?

- how long does something I sell stay against my profile? I want to sell some gifts I don't want and I don't really want my partner to see or anyone else for that matter - would I be better off setting up a new less obvious user name (can I even do this with my current PayPal account?)

- what are the rules around fake goods... is it just a complete no no? I have a fake mulberry purse. I wouldn't advertise it AS mulberry but can you sell it as mulberry style or should that one be a car boot jobby??

You cannot sell a fake- however you describe it don't even think of risking it.

You can open a new account if you wish as long as your current one is in good standing, you will need a new email address and bank details though. Both accounts can use the same paypal account.
