Hi Everyone,

looking for to buy car cleaning equipment online rather than from Halfords. Any useful websites to consider also looking for a mobile phone holder.

  • Ebay is your best bet. If you're after ideas for products, get onto forum called Detailing World.

    www.elitecarcare.co.uk

    www.cleanyourcar.co.uk

They are two sites that i use for car cleaning and detailing products

if you do buy on e bay do your homework on the seller, I have heard of sellers selling product ready diluted so you could end up paying a lot of money for water

Second for detailingworld. I've been a member for years. The only issue is that it can get really expensive. Not everything in Halfords is bad (just the staff lol)

Try https://www.autobritedirect.co.uk I have used these guys and they are brilliant

I actually find Halfords not bad - especially when they have the '3 for 2' offer or the 'cheapest one free' offer on.

Are a member of any car forums?

lots of them have a sponsor link to a parts and cleaning kit supplier who offers good deals often post free to members.

Then there are local car-part shops who may well offer a discount to local car-clubs.

Here's an example of one near me:

Autoparts of Inverurie offer 10% off everything they sell to members of the several local Aberdeen car owners groups.

Most of the groups are free to join - ABZ-BMW for example.

    The local LandRover group too.

The one I'm in certainly was. :D

I'm sure that kind of thing happens all over the country.

My idea of car cleaning is this:

Summer - screen wash to remove dead flies from windscreen.
Winter - damp cloth to clean rear numberplate.

My car would blend in well in Russia..

Excellent websites like the Wash Bucket Set £18.95 though is it less expensive anywhere else.
