MID Database Incorrect
The Mid is Showing an Incorrect Model Name (Nissan PRIMASTAR) for my Vehicle. I have Renault Trafic. SE DCI 115 SWB IS correct.
I have checked with my Broker and has emailed to tell me I am correctly Insured.
Correct Model on my Insurance Certificate.
I am just worried that Police might think my Plates are stolen.
Reg correct on V5 Document I carry a copy in my car.
Effectively both Vans are the Same with different badges.
Anything to be concerned about ?

It wont be on the road long enough to worry about.
What I mean will become self evident.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -
The AskMID contact page suggests contacting your insurer to get incorrect details changed - http://stayinsured.askmid.com/contact_us.html
Potentially a problem if you are stopped i suppose - tape over the badges?0 -
Maybe your Broker rebadged your van?
Remember when a large car supermarket were rebadging Opel's as Vauxhalls so they could sell them better?0 -

Then Why would Insurance Certificate state the Correct Model.
is Rebadging Vehicles after manufacturer legal ?0 -
If you'd not checked you'd be non the wiser. As long as there's something on there I really wouldn't be concerned if your insurer states you are covered0

On ANPR, the registration will not flag up an issue to the police if the reg number is shown to have insurance listed.
If the vehicle is individually checked by an officer and there is a discrepancy between the vehicle badge and what's on PNC, then you're likely to be stopped. But your explanation would resolve any issue for any officer who didn't realise that both vehicles are identical.
I'd personally make a couple of enquiries of MIB to try to resolve the discrepancy, but I wouldn't worry about it in the meantime.Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler.0
