Hi, im hoping someone can help me find somewhere to get a loan, with getting the money tonight.

To cut a long story short, i need to get hold of£100 tonight. Its for my horses livery. Before people start, i can afford my horses, its just ive had to pay out for an emergency vet this week, whic has left me short. I get paid on 19th january, and i have asked yard owner if i can pay itto her then, but she has said no she wants it tonight, and f i dont give it to her then i cant go up too see or feed my horses until i have it. This is the first time ever, where i have been short on livery.
My family/friends dont have it to lend me, and i have been unabl to get apayday loan, which is why im asking for advice.

Put something you own on Gumtree for £100 for a quick sale. Your computer, perhaps.

If you've been knocked back for a PDL I don't fancy your chances of getting a loan elsewhere. Is there any possibility of getting an overdraft or extending your current overdraft by £100?

The owner of the livery can't allow your horses to starve even if you do owe her £100.

OP i cant guarantee you like my reply but maybe its time you either look at creating a savings pot ( or cut back on your spending ) to cover any unexpected vet bills or you sell a horse. What will you do when you get another vets bill that's unexpected.

Doesn't help the current situation but for future it will. Sell something whether its the PC/laptop or smartphone, games console.

They will presumably be fed though? Just not by you. I can't see a livery owner starving owners horses because of non-payment. The RSPCA might have a few issues with that.

On the upside, at least they aren't being sold to a glue factory.

Do you have overdraft facilities, or have you spoken to your bank to see if they will let you have an overdraft for a couple of weeks? Do you have a credit card you can withdraw money from?

Could your F&F lend you smaller amounts each, to make it up to the £100 you need? What about the other owners who stable their horses at the same yard?

For the future, you might want to consider insurance.

Take it out as cash of your current account and swallow the "unauthorised overdraft" charges for a one time thing. Unless you have an overdraft and then you just have to swallow the "authorised overdraft" charges which are a lot less. Good luck.

  • No yard owner would leave horses without proper feed and water overnight - if they did they would not be a yard owner for much longer. They can chase you for money aggressively but they cant take it out on the horses.

You will be OK - tell them you have no money and put it back in their court for now. Tell them that you need an assurance the horses will be fed or you will have no choice other than to alert the relevant authorities.

They cant give your horses away over £100 debt so while its not nice to play hard with people you owe money to - I have some sympathy for them as they are running a business and you are not paying your bill on time - their stance on denying you access has made it necessary.

    Don't bank on it.

  • If you don't get paid until the 19th of January and don't have £100 that you can lay your hands on tonight... then how do you propose to support yourself for the next 2 weeks regardless of paying the livery fees?

speak to your bank, they are most likely to grant you a modest overdraft if asked nicely (although it does beg the question as to how you are going to get to the 19th)
