Refund advice please

Any advice appreciated.
My mum bought me a babyliss curl secret for 100euros when she was on holiday in spain.
Its not broken, its just completely rubbish.
I don't think its designed for very long hair, it just gets blocked and tangled.
I do have the receipt, but flying back to Spain is not realistic until February
I am sure that would be out of the time for a refund. Can I go to the manufacturer for money back on this?

You're not entitled to a refund just because you don't like it. That would be relying on the good will of the shop that sold it. The manufacturer won't help you - the contract is with the seller.
  • It does state everywhere that sells this (at least in the UK) that it is not suitable for very long hair. I have medium length hair and I love mine. But as above you cannot get a refund just because you do not get along with it. I am assuming it is a genuine Babyliss and not a fake -because there are a lot of them around...

The contract was between your mother and the Spanish retailer. So Spanish consumer law applies. But I don't know if that gives the consumer right of refund because they don't like the product.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales
  • Thanks guys, thought id check for sure.

If it is genuine... you will most probably be able to sell it on without losing too much.

When I was in the canaries a few years ago we were warned NOT to buy electrical goods from the various electrical stores on the main avenue who were all selling fakes.
