Send them to me, I'll take them to work and they will be eaten in about 5 mins flat, by the outside staff, who need food to keep warm, or so they tell me!!

I saw the Fanny Craddock Christmas shows on the Food Network - rather entertaining, although I agree the mincemeat omelette looked vile!
I can't think of any other ways to suggest to jazz up a mince pie that what has already been suggested. I do find that warming them up makes the world of difference, and some cream, custard or brandy butter/sauce helps them go down a treat.
I enjoyed some Asda's Extra Special ones (50p) with some Rodda's Clotted Cream (11p) last night. Lovely.
