Credit Score's and Bank Accounts

In my experience credit searches have little impact after 6 month. Equifax/Experian wipe off searches after 12 months. Noddle wipe off searches after 2 years.
Each lender has their own lending criteria so your "credit score" provided to you by a credit reference agency is meaningless. Here you are, your score is 900. That's about as valuable. Please believe everyone on this thread who tells you it is meaningless because it really is.
From experience I've never been declined a bank account application and have applied for many over the years but I have been declined a few credit cards. From that I deduce it's "easier" to obtain a bank account than a credit card.
Of the handful of credit card applications I've had declined, I've appealed all but one and I think I have had the original decision overturned in all but one cases. Often a lender may simply decline you because of an issue identifying you. I would recommend appealing any declines for any credit facility. You have nothing to lose except a postage stamp.0
