Son messed up his computer.

Hope someone can help,

My darling son has messed up his computer ! When he connects to the web loads of pop ups appear. I have scaned and got rid of all virus, disk clean-up, emptied cookies, turned off system restore, scan again and cleaned everything, but it keeps happening.
Any thoughts.

If you post more details of the popups and what you have scanned with, it may help diagnosis. Have you used any antispyware software, do you have XP service pack 2 installed, are the popups in IE?

It does sound like malware / spyware. If you have Internet Explorer 7 go to Tools and turn on the popup blocker.

Then follow albertross' advise.

Thanks guys,

I have done the scans it found 245 different spyware/adware etc
It is now working fine (until the little !!!! downloads something else!)
