Hello just wondering....we have managed to save together some money and would love to take the kids to disney florida. We have a girl aged 11 whos autistic, a 6 year old and a 1 year old. Whats the cheapest way to do it please? any tips? also any tips with something like a fast pass for our girl?

The best thing you could do is go to www.thedibb.co.uk and you'll find answers to absolutely everything you can think of to do with Disneyworld and the other theme parks in Orlando.
As far as I am aware you can take proof of your daughters autism to Guest Services and they give you a pass that you hand to the Cast Member at the rides and then they give you a time to go back and ride without waiting in the queue.0 -
I'd second the Dibb recommendation. We've just booked our first ever Disney trip for 2016 (never booked a holiday so early in all my life!).
We got a great deal from Thomson, who from what I read on DIBB have been very competitive lately. I did my research, priced it with several people and priced it all up seperately and couldn't get anywhere close to their 'all in one' package price, which included flights, accomm on international drive (that has a fridge, kitchenette etc for basic meals), car hire and theme park tickets for disney and universal studios. The only thing I need to buy on top now is car hire insurance as Thomson wanted a ridiculous amount, whereas we can get it via an MSE link for around £100.
If you want to stay onsite at Disney you will pay a much higher price, but will get extra hours in the park in the morning where it may be quieter. With three kids you may prefer a villa so that you can cater for yourself and have space to chill out, in which case look at Holiday Lettings, Owners Direct as there were some decent villas on there that were reasonably priced. Thomas Cook and Thomsons had good deals on flight only too.Lea

Have a look on the DISabilities board on the Disboards site, they have loads of info about all type of special requirements, and should be able to give you the most up to date info, as I believe the GAC (guest assistance card) has changed over the last few years.
Regarding booking the holiday, have a think about what would work for you. If you stay on site at Disney it'll cost you more, but they have free regular transport to all Disney parks, extra time in the parks etc, which might be useful with three kids as you can come and go throughout the day. Alternatively, a villa might be good as you have more space, possibly a pool and you can self cater which can save money and be easier for fussy kids. You would need a car though, so it depends if that's something you're comfortable with. Otherwise you could stay in a hotel outside Disney, which would be cheaper and often include breakfast and possibly park transport.
It depends when you want to go, and what you want to do when you get there!0 -

This might give you some info about what assistance your daughter may need. x0 -

I booked disney the other day. I also got a quote for £8K for 1 week at disney, one week at a hotel near the beach, but got a much cheaper deal for 2 weeks at disney hotel. It all depends on what you are looking for...0
