Hello I am new here
I was issued a parking ticket today for parking my moped in a car parking space in a private car park.
Although before going into detail I would just like yk make sure that this is a suitable thread for my matter.
I am only 16 so I've never encountered anything like this before so any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

If you are sixteen, then you have a very good defence but hopefully won't come to that.
You need to get yourself into the Parking Tickets forum, read the Newbies Sticky carefully - which outlines your situation and the avenues for dealing with it (varies by PPC), then PM a board guide to get this thread moved over there.0 -

What's his defence then?0 -
So why should the defence "I'm only sixteen" be valid? If you are old enough to ride and take responsibility you are old enough to do all of the rest of the things that come with it.0

Like using a blue badge responsibly and not illegally, and learning to drive in the correct lanes rather than thinking things don't apply to you because you have a disability.0 -

I'd imagine that it's likely to be that under 18s are unable to be legally held to a contract, and that the PPCs like to pretend that charging for parking is a contractual issue.0 -

None of which has any bearing on the world of private parking at all!
This is a contractual issue pure and simple.
Which is why the OP needs to be in the correct forum, where he will get the benefit of considerable body of advice and practical help to deal with this without getting sidetracked by ill-informed judgement.0
