Central Heating noisy

Since my last British Gas Homecare visit when they replaced the pump and turned the hot water cylinder thermostat down by 5 degrees to 65 the system is permanently gurgling and the radiator bleed water is coming out more black than before.
Any idea what work would need doing to fix?
Many thanks

check the arrow on the pump body it should be pointing towards the mid pos valve, I've seen a few from BG & others that are installed the wrong way round, plus the cylinder stat should be at 60d not 65dI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -

Thanks. Arrow is pointing towards the left i.e back towards the boiler. There are two valves either side of the pump.

do you have a mid position valve that directs the water from the boiler to either the heating or hot water that looks something like this ? if so where is this in relation to the pump ?I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

No, nothing of that ilk near the boiler, just two normal valves either side of the pump like the one on the left at the back plus the red hot water shut-off valve further down the pipes to the right.
Thanks

Well in the end called back British Gas because the fan was stuck and got one of the engineers who wasn't a jobsworth like the last few. He turned the pump speed down (only a small flat) and bled all the radiators with the heating off. Now perfick, heating far more efficient - and no noise!
