Bearing in mind the level of debt and how quick you could potentially clear it I would suspend pension payments if you can do so without much penalty? Some I believe will let you just suspendbut others not... Not really my area of expertise...
As for the full larder... Get yer little tushie over to the OS board! Arm yourself with a notepad and pen and start listing what you have stashed away food wise. Then see how many meals you already have everything you need for by posting it on the OS board. I will bet you that you can easily feed everyone for a month without anyone really noticing and a good clear out of the cupboards and freezer gives you a chance to avoid having to chuck food away that is out of date later
So set yourself a "no spend" challenge for the month... make it into a game for everyone and make sure there is an incentive for everyone to join in, like maybe a day out somewhere - spend a little money on it so maybe a day at an amusement park - take your own food and search for some free child with paying adult vouchers and you have a cheapish day but FUN!
Well done putting the MBNA to an 0% apr - 21% apr focusses you doesn't it?
Also get over to the Christmas board for help with saving money on christmas, birthdays and parties - bet no-one will ever notice you've not splurged as much as you normally do
You can do it!! DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey0 -
Thanks, but what's the OS board? excuse my ignorance, but remember I'm new to this game, not like you old timers....0
