first direct $120 do I need to pay in 1k monthly

just wondered if I open a First Direct account and pay in the required one thousand pounds to open the account do I then have to pay in a thousand pounds each and every month. The advertised terms and conditions don't make that clear. Any thoughts please?

As with Yorkshire Bank, for the £125 you need to pay in a one-off £1000. After 6 months, you'll be charged £10 a month for having a 1st Account if you don't pay in an average of £1000 a month after 6 months (and if you don't have a qualifying savings account such as an e-Saver).

It's not just "sign". Normally it's either £100 or £125.
Also, to "get the readies" you have to switch your account, not just "open" and "pay in"
