Hard to find out as legally meat butchered in the UK can and more often that not is, labelled as UK meat.

Thanks I pretty much guessed they would state it as advertising draw if it UK traceable
  • I see most of the beef has info describing as British, Irish, West Counties etc bred/reared. Not sure about poultry or other meats not had time to check. Most items have detailed info.

  • I had my first delivery on 30th Dec. Was amazed at the size of the chicken breasts. They easily fed 2 in fajitas and bulked out with veg you could feed an army. I also ordered the easy carve gammon. We have a slicer so can get it thinly - but found out it comes bone in. DH had fun working the slicer round it. I think we'll get 12 or so meals out of it for 2 and I'm now making pea and ham soup with the bone.

Can't wait to try the duck and the horse steaks.

Freezer space may be a problem as the packs are big.

I always seperate the chicken into sandwich bags before freezing. Saves a wee bit of space.

Braver than me with the horse steaks! :rotfl:

  • Have used them for over a year but mainly for chicken and protein bars. I totally resent paying for scrawny bits of chicken in supermarkets now! I mostly share with family as live alone and only have a box freezer - sis across the road has two which is handy! I like the quality and there are ALWAYS discount codes and offers on fb. We had the turkey offer for xmas. It should have been around 4kg but they emailed saying was less than that so sent free pigs in blankets. Absolutely fine by me! Was still more than enough for 6 of us with leftovers. Their customer service has always been great. Only issue I have is they only deliver Monday to Friday when im at work.

local beef& pork is a steal around £3 to £5 a KG but I find it really hard to get poultry for less then £10  chicken is a luxury in this house im just glad it's only the kids that eat meat

Lord they made it difficult to find but the chicken is EU origin

My son gets the chicken breasts when they are on offer, but I found a lot of the other meal expensive. But we are blessed with a wholesale meat outlet store that sells off overstock meat that was destined for supermarkets.
I can get 4kg of lean mince steak for £7. Steak Burgers 4 x 4oz pack (£10 for 3 in Tesco finest range) for 50p a pack.... But the chicken breasts from Muscle food is hard to beat

I buy chicken breasts from Makro. They are not full of water and cost £19.99 for 5kg. This is not a sale price, this is the regular price. If you pay slightly more £23.99 they are all the same size, restaurant portions but I am happy with the packs of different sizes. If you go late in the day quite often I am lucky and get them on sale for £14.99 for 5 kg so I fill my freezer.
