Thomson Flights

Good news about cheaper flights, but please be aware of booking specific seats on Thomson flights via their website images.
We have just returned from a P&O Caribbean cruise which chartered a Thomson Dreamliner there and back.
We booked and paid for our seats - as did many others - via the Thomson website. We were OK on the way out to Barbados, but many were not given the seats paid for and booked.
We had booked a pair of seats on the way back (40) as we preferred it being just the two rather than a row of 3. However, once on the plane we were not given the same position as booked and ended up in a row of three as the actual seats we preferred were 39 on this plane.
Lots of people, even in Premium seats, had the same problem. As is understandable, we had to have the seats corresponding with our boarding passes. Apparently, Thomson have 4 different configurations for this flight (Dreamliner) and unfortunately you don't get what you booked if your plane happens to be different to what you booked and paid for online.
We would not have paid the extra had we known. They even split families up who had booked seats together!
We had this once before on a Thomson flight when we paid extra for our seats only to try boarding and they had given the seats to a family to be together.
When I complained, the senior cabin steward told me she would remove us from the flight and the family refused to swap. Who could blame them?
A complaint to Thomson resulted in a £10 refund, hardly worth the effort and no apology - they can do what they like, so be warned.
Having said that, the seats were comfortable, despite the severe turbulence, a near stop over in the Azores due to an ill passenger and sadly, his death on board the flight. RIP We also had a fabulous cruise.
A warning here, though, don't pay the full price on P&O. We didn't this time and had exactly the same service, food etc. as those paying in full. Some people paid double what we had and the only benefit was a slightly bigger balcony one deck below ours!

Where did the cabin crew stow the corpse?

(Apologies if that sounds blunt, I've always wondered!)

It depends on the airline. Generally they have to stay in a seat, as they have to be strapped in for landing...

If there are spare seats with nobody next to them, the crew would probably move them there, BA has been known to put corpses into First class. Apparently some airlines are now putting body bags on board, but not sure who. If the flight is full, they stay in their seat.
