    No, I'm not being fobbed off. I move locations every 6 months, and if that's outside my local area I can rent another property for which my employer will pay. However, they will only pay if I genuinely have a double commitment - eg another tenancy or own a home elsewhere. And I need to prove the double commitment or they won't pay.

    But you would have another tenancy, its called a Statutory Periodic TENANCY.

    And how did you prove the double commitment, i presume by showing them a document? - a document does not a tenancy make.
