Thanks guys - will just keep trying to move forward on debt and dissertation!

Well today has been lovely! I was trying hard to forget that its my birthday but kids weren't for letting me ignore it! So the day started with breakfast in bed accompanied by cards, flowers and presents. including a spa day and some gardening bits that are to go with the hand made trowel that DS is making for me in school! My mum has offered to pay for my house clean which is the best and most appreciated present - I just need to find someone brave enough to do it now!

Ok day in work finished off by a relative presenting me with a big cheque as a donation - brought back fond memories and the reason I work where I do - very moving!

Home to more cards, flowers and chocolates and several bottles of wine!! and tea out (not very MSE) - but we did get a main for free and a free bottle of prosecco (birthday email put to good use) which I brought home with me (I was driving) along with almost a whole pizza! Dinner for tomorrow sorted for kids! Decided to skip desert in restaurant (£6 for an Ice cream Sundae!!!) and had a McD sundae instead (4 for less than £6!)and brought back good memories for us all too!

Feeling blessed tonight! and its payday to boot!!!

Thanks Beannie and Bob - I had a great day - felt very spoiled! Back to reality today though as DD1 came home unexpectedly and announced she was going out with friends and DD2 unhappy cos DD1 never prioritises spending time with her! All hell broke loose but I just stayed out of it! Supposed to be going out for breakfast with both of them tomorrow (DD1 birthday treat!!!) that should be fun!!

Not a lot to report on the money front except that I am spending it!!!

2 more weeks and dissertation will be gone - then back to being organised and attacking this debt!!!

Thanks for popping by and showing support guys - not much to report on the money front but dissertation draft is sort of done - not happy with some of it but will keep messing with it for a week and hopefully will submit something that makes sense next Tuesday. Ignoring money saving and housework for a few weeks to focus on this but will regroup after next week!

Totally in favour of red - surely I've shared this stolen mantra before?

But, re: t'other, the money-saving, I hope you realise by now you function better all round when that IS happening.

When child in family says 'we need a proper shop', what about giving them that challenge, using https://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/ with absolute low budget limit. I intuit they can all be v.g. at this, with 'arguing' a.k.a. bettering each other's deals as a useful by-product. It all develops money awareness for family life, which will be their families, not yours.

In these closing Diss. stages, I realise it's unlikely this time, judi. But why not try it as prep.for them [brilliant Life-prep. game] and for you, should you undertake further study?

Please take special care of you right now - also kdalwayskint.
