Anyone go to last nights London Fireworks?

Did anyone with a ticket go to the London fireworks yesterday? If so we you asked to provide ID before entering?
I had 2 tickets I bought but couldn't go due to an illness so rang up the ticketing agency to see if I could give them to some friends but they said as each ticket had my name printed on them, my friends would be asked for ID and would be refused entry if I wasn't there.

I would like to know if that was true as it was a waste of a couple of tickets.

Thanks

I expect that is true. But the OP wanted to know whether that had been implemented.

(I sometimes attend events where the ticket/voucher says ID is required but it has never been requested. However the London NYE fireworks was not something I attended.)
