New notes to take to Morocco

Im off to Morocco in a few week and been told i can take Sterling over there and exchange in country (closed currency so cant buy over here first). Only thing is been told they can be abit fussy with notes that are abit torn or looking worse for wear, so was hoping to get some crisp new notes to take. Would need about £300 worth.

If i went into the bank and asked behind the counter, would they be able to give me that money in new notes? Cash machines are abit hit and miss

Just take a debit or credit card and use the ATMs

You can always ask. But ATMs often have better quality notes in them.

I'd usually second the card idea, although Morocco maybe a country where you could do better changing cash.

  • When I went the other year, I just took a card with me and got some cash from an ATM at the airport to start with and got more out as I needed it. Paid with CC where I could for accommodation etc.
I need to make a new list for 2014
think of something to put on it!:rotfl:
Try harder for 2014 as I never managed it in 2012 or 2013

I never like relying on cards abroad. Personally never had issues as ive rung my bank beforehand, but people im with had theirs blocked and have to ring to sort it. Or sometimes for unknown reasons the card wont work in some machines

I do use my card abroad but only as a last resort normally
  • I would second the ATM at the airport, worked for me
