Hi all,
My partner and I currently live in a 2 bed flat in East London. We want to move into a house in 2015. Mostly we want more space, but we'd also like to move to a new area; somewhere a little greener and quieter.
I've had a look at parts of Kent and Surrey but would be very keen to widen my search into other areas that might be a good fit. Our criteria is as follows:
Easy commute into any of the main London terminals
Easy access to the Brighton area would be a plus as my parents live there
Decent range of shops, restaurants, gym etc. in the high street
Green space i.e. parks
Preferably no need for a car to get around as we don't own one currently
Relatively quiet and safe without being completely dull
Ability to buy a 3-4 bed house in the region of £450k
All ideas welcome!

Watford in Hertfordshire is on the line to Brighton (via East Croydon), and fits most of the other criteria, as it is also within London Bus and Tube coverage. My Mind wanders, if found please return.0

Come & buy a castle or mansion up north or even a castle with that amount of money.0 -
Plenty of regeneration around East Croydon station, which should see values rise.
London terminals less than 30 mins away, and fast train to Brighton.
Plenty of lovely countryside just a short cycle away from East Croydon station.
Plenty in your budget too:
