Understanding usage
Hi.
Have not been in my new property long and was wondering if someone with a bit of experience can give an opinion on energy consumption.
Just read my meter and in the past 20 days I have used about 100kwl of electricity.
Is this high.
Also,
I have noticed that British gas have estimated my start bill at 3302 on the 29th of June.
A month later the metre is reading 3706. Surely I haven't used 300 units in a month.
Any help apprecaited.

That only works out to be 5 units a day, which is very low. That's around 1800 units over the year which would cost about £200. Be happy that your a low user

The national average, Spurs, is 3300 for electric .
Your gas bill seems estimated and read the bill to convert to kwH from units. The national average is over 20,000.
Not sure how the national average is compiled but sounds like from the PR dept of the Energy industry.0 -

Not sure I understand the post fully
100kWh of electricity in 20 days is low consumption.
However is the second part of your post about gas?(Ken68 seems to think so)
3302 to 3706 is over 400 units(not 300) - 400+ gas units is about 4,500kWh(assuming a Metric meter) and that isn't feasible in a month in July.0
