  • Oh I know, I have a credit card with the limit available to pay for it all but I really want to do it with no credit at all.

I want to be a sensible grown up & I think we will just enjoy it better due to the struggle to pay for it!

I'm also saving my spare £1 coins in a wee piggy bank & I think I am upto like £50-£60 so far. In November I will crack that open & then hopefully that will mean December I can have a month without having to save £100- £150 in that month.

I also do surveys & I am so close to getting my £50 cheque from them so so closeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Might start working some overtime, oh my mind is on a ramble now haha!

  • Well done on saving for the holiday Dolly, you're right you will enjoy it so much more than if you'd stuck it on the card.

Good luck with your savings piggy bank too. I found this really helps and have one of the pots you have to smash open. I was actually given it as an 18th Birthday present (I'll be 29 in September!) and never really used it. Just stuck the odd bit of silver in there, I've now dug it out and chucking any spare £ coins in. Can't wait to have it full and crack it open.

Keep up the fab work though....

  • Well my little piggy does open at the bottom but I wont touch it just need to make sure my OH doesn't dip into it for ciggies - I would kill him haha!! Just think how much you will have in yours by the time you smash it open - exciting!

Just think how much better off I will be next year though when I have a minimum of £100 extra a month, I am going to save £50 of it each month in the credit union get a good wee savings pot going.

I have a wee countdown on my phone so its telling me only 291 days until Rome, just need to manage to keep my trap shut for that long.

I checked my survey site this morning & I only need to get another £1 & they will send me a £50 cheque so that can go straight to the Rome fund.

Need to think of things to do now to amuse myself that are for free or are really cheap so been scouring the coupon sites & discount sites for bargains.

Right so this is what has been happening to get the debt up again this month.

1 trip to the cinema & dinner with the husband :wall:
    Car Insurance :(
    Car tax :(

The debt has gone up due to all of this so I know that this is gonna happen until I get my life sorted out but it is still annoying me.

Humph - In a wee mood now.

Buttttttttttttt its my birthday so time to cheer the hell up!
