Hello everyone,

Happy new year, 2015 already! Time flies when you are a grown up doesn't it!

Ok so this is my 3rd attempt a diary & I am determined to keep this one going! I always let it fall by the wayside.

I intend to keep this running for the next 5 years cos in that time I have a few things I want to achieve.

1. Save £25,000.00 for a house
2. Pay off all the debt which is £5,570.82
3. Cancel 2 credit cards
4. Cancel the catalogue
5. Save £1,000.00 for an emergency fund
6. Weigh 10st 7lbs

So that's it sounds easy all written down there but then life gets in the way & messes up all those plans!!

We have a cruise booked for 2016 so the 2015 budget will be mainly spent on paying that off then also saving for spending money.

At the same time as that will pay off at least £100.00 to the debt each month so that the figure slowly comes down, as soon as the holiday is done then around £500 a month will go to the debt & around £300.00 a month to saving for the house.

I probably shouldn't have booked a holiday while trying to manage all these other things but I couldn't help myself!!

Will keep you all posted on how this plan comes along & will try to update each of my goals on a monthly basis.

Now I just need to go & eat all the Christmas chocolate that's left in the house before I go back to Slimming World on Saturday!

Thanks cazzyd, I am a determined wee person!!

This is something I have to knuckle down with otherwise I can see it all spiralling out of control again & no one wants that.

So I am here for the foreseeable future & maybe even after that.

I love this site so many lovely people who are in the same situation.

Good luck with the debt busting and weight loss dolly, your doing fab already! 18Ibs!! You go girl!!! You'll reach your goal weight in no time!! ^_^
10st 7Ibs does seem like the perfect weight doesn't it?
I'd love to be 10 1/2 stone too....but right now I weigh 15 and when I think about how much that is, I reach for the chocolate in defeat before I even start :rotfl:
    Saved so far - £28,890.97

  • 1. Save £25,000.00 for a house - Not gonna be able to start on this until May 2016 due to the fact that I booked a cruise. Roll on April 2016 :T

    2. Pay off all the debt which is £5,570.82 - I have started this but I need to get an organised look at all the figures so will give another update on the 1st February 2015

    3. Cancel 2 credit cards - I am working on clearing these balances right now & then as soon as they are zero those pesky little bits of plastic that have been a part of my life for too long will be banished to the big bad fire:rotfl:

    4. Cancel the catalogue - Again just clearing the balance on this right now should definitely be all cleared & cancelled by the end of 2015

    5. Save £1,000.00 for an emergency fund - This isn't going really well at all, I have committed to taking my OH to Rome for his 40th Birthday so this will really come into play in 2016

    6. Weigh 10st 7lbs - This is going to take me an awfully long long longgggggggggggg time! I would love to be there or at least very close when I go on my cruise in April 2016. To help myself along the way I have given myself a challenge to lose 52lbs in 2015, 2lbs gone this year & 50lbs more to lose for me to achieve this

So there we go this is my update so far. Not goin well on some points but I am still aiming high.

Let this be the year when I change my mindset & habits to make way for a better life with no debt.

Yeah that seems to be the magic number for a lot of people. I am currently 15st 5lbs so I am the same as you but I am breaking it down into 7lb goals at a time.

    We can do this!
