if it just needs a door.. then buy a door for £150 ish pay local garage £50 to fit it.. win win all round..
i wouldnt be put off with it needing a door.. ive bought and fixed much worse

Years worth of cheap motoring for the sake of a couple of hundred £.

You went to the effort of getting the engine changed, Why not get a door changed which is much easier.
