Just after some advice ladies.
We suffered a miscarriage 2 weeks ago. We obviously want to try again. At the hospital they said to wait 2 months before trying again. I cannot find the logic for this anywhere. Things I read online suggest we can start trying again immediately. Is there any reason not to? We have DTD unprotected once in the hope something might happen.
Our logic is that it took us 4-5 months to get pregnant in the first place. What is the harm in trying straight away, either my body will allow it or not. Is this the wrong way to look at it? I'm so confused!0 -
Lulu I am so happy to read about your BFP on the CB digi - just a lovely start to the week, and end to August! Many congrats and wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months.
Millie/Cats sorry to hear that AF has made her unwanted appearance... fingers crossed that September is your month.
I love to see BFPs on here, its the only place I feel genuinely over the moon without a twinge of jealousy, can't seem to do that in real life at the minute.
CD7 here and putting the CBFM to good use, waiting for Peak days. Got some Conceive+ as well so ready to rock cycle 6!
Have a great day all xMancMama4 (35) TTC since Apr 15, MMC Dec 15, Our Rainbow Baby Charlie arrived Dec 16 :heart2:0 -
Congrats Lulu, really pleased for you.
MovingUp, unfortunately I have had a few miscarriages and my understanding is it helps with dating if you leave a gap. Also if you were pregnant a while it helps you recover, I lost one at 16 weeks and they asked us to leave a 3 month gap which was fine by me as we were not ready but having had a few 6 week miscarriages we were not told to leave a gap at all but maybe they thought we knew the drill by then?0 -

I think it depends how far along the pregnancy was. Our last (and first) pregnancy was surgically terminated for medical reasons at 12 weeks. We were advised to wait until she'd had one full cycle and then start trying if we felt ready.
But since termination was 1st July, first AF since 10th August, OV happened 25th August, that is only one week short of 2 months between the termination and possible (please!!) next conception.
So depending on dates, wait 2 months could be the same as waiting for one normal cycle.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)
