Hi All,
I was pretty much decided on buying a valliant combi boiler but always had a doubt about best possible solution for great hot water solution. It's like my wife loves taking very hot shower for 20-30 mins and we are looking for very good pressure from showere!
Now, looking at a thread posted by canucklehead :j , I came to know about Unvented hot water cylinder system, which promises to have great hot water pressure even though it needs more maintenance (as in yearly maintenance).
Does anyone has the system installed and is this as good as it sounds?? Any advice will be highly appreciated!

I was considering getting a combi boiler and was told but several plumbers that these are ideal for flats but not really for houses. I was put of even more when he said that if you have a washing machine going, your running the bath. if you then go and flush the loo the system could cut out.
I've just put my hot water tank in the loft and have got a pressurised system and it is SUPERB!!! Worth the extra cash.
Plus the several plumbers I have spoke to say Combi boilers have a life of around 5-6 years.
Just passing on what I was told.0 -
I have a Combi Boiler but still use an Electric Shower straight off the mains.
Couple of reasons really above those already stated. One it was there before the Combi and more importantly if anything goes wrong with the Combi at least we will still have a supply of Hot water for bathing whilst Combi is getting repaired.Cheers
