Pay as you go meter, switched supplier, balance to pay?
I have a PAYG meter and switched supplier from Swalec.
I received a letter today from Swalec: "Your estimated balance to pay is £23.80".
How can this be if I was on a pay as you go meter? I will ring them tomorrow but if closed then Friday. Before ringing thought I would get some insight.

Regardless of whether or not the meter was prepayment, a balance can still exist.
Your balance can be made up of:
* An outstanding debt on the meter
* A build up of daily standing charges
* The account opening on estimated readings
You will need to contact Swalec's PPM team directly for more information on your bill.0
