  • I watched that. Loved the talking cats. And how fearless was the kitty with the crocodiles :eek:

I know, the 2 lying next to each other yakking on bless them. Didn't see the crocs with the kitty, must have been making a cuppa then. Now watching Paul O'Grady's animal orphans :)

    Hello all.
I don't know about some of these Christmas bargains - like some people on here, the Christmas aisles in my three Ms have been changed into kitchen/homeware. They're still wanting ridiculous prices of £1.98:eek: on some Christmas chocolate gift packs/biscuits, and I'm having none of it - really must lower them a lot further if you wish to 'clear' them to me! Even £1.62 on a cake kit seems too expensive to me:rotfl:. Otherwise, still wanting ridiculous prices of 48p on some Santa stuff. Mind you, in the 'proper' RTC shelving, you know the kind of horrendous prices I get offered by my store... some battered Maynards Sports Mixture carton at £2.75:eek: when offer prices go down to £2 - and I'd expect 98p maximum - and some Surf Washing Powder on RTC(!) £5.20:eek::eek:, down about 55p, when some identical size Surf Washing Powder available on £2.85 'half price' elsewhere in the store!:rotfl: Just ridiculous! (£2.85 btw is way in excess of 10p/wash, so not even entertaining that:p:rotfl:).

Seems the best I (or they) can manage at the moment is probably a 50p reduction:( on some Christmas Tea Towels. They want £3!:eek: Come on - they are Christmas stuff, it is not Christmas - should be flogging them for 9p! No chance at all - and I'm not buying them. I hope no-one else does.

Guess what though? Savvy did manage to get some 10p Hovis bread today:D! Rather pleased with that, as I managed to get some 19p Wholemeal 800g from M last week! I walked down the road to the nearest Sainsbobs today and managed to find the 10p bread - even the right type that people at my house want! Savvy managing to get there at the right time for once, and even delayed a little by the weather on the way! I wasn't too pleased about walking down the road though - I've got no wellies:o and quite a lot of black ice on the streets. I much preferred it walking back uphill - at least I couldn't see behind me, where I was going to fall, if I was to do so.

Northern Ireland, sorry the rest of this post is not relevant to you.

I expected the Piccalilli to compare vs M at 15p. It did not. (Don't know whether it is now doing so?)
I expected the Blackberry Frost Candle to continue to work vs M. It did not. Somehow they have now picked up a £5 price on that:(.

So, my original imploration to go for it last weekend as it might not continue was correct. If I see a really good comparison vs M, I pile in hugely right there and then and not wait at all, as you never know what will happen on the next update.

I suppose, for anyone trying some mega soup glitching(:rotfl:) later, I had better list the Baxter's soups that are available in M. I won't be going for it myself though, unless it continues to be available much later on in the day. I've better things to do than save more than half the cost, maybe, on some soups (we have plenty of soup already) - although, as I say, I will join in if it continues longer. These are currently £1.09 each, and may be going to 4 for £3. All of them are also available in Waities (at slightly worse price, 57p, there) so, if the M fails on some of them, then would still go vs W at 57p.

Baxters Favourites Lentil & Bacon Soup (400g)
Baxters Favourites Chicken Broth Soup (400g)
Baxters Favourites !!!!-a-Leekie Soup (400g) Ridiculous censorship:p - looks like I'm doing something far worse to that "a-Leekie" now, I'm offended:p:p:rotfl:.
Baxters Favourites Cream of Tomato Soup (400g)
Baxters Favourites Potato & Leek Soup (400g)
Baxters Favourites Scotch Broth Soup (400g)
Baxters Favourites French Onion Soup (400g)
Baxters Favourites Pea & Ham Soup (400g)
Baxters Favourites Cream of Chicken Soup (400g)

In addition, there is also Baxters Favourites Royal Game Soup (400g) but, besides apparently being unavailable in my local As, this one appears to be only vs M (if that worked) and isn't stocked by W, supposedly, according to what I can see on msm in my area.

Alright - Baxters Favourites Penis-a-Leekie Soup (400g), even though that now has the genital connotation that the original did not and yet, apparently, isn't worth censoring. Stupid system!:rotfl: (As you know - and as I'm now diverted onto this by the system doing that - I will not replace stuff with any other word and do not try to get around it using random symbols - is there anyway that I can say the original word there without doing any of these things?)

Well, have just ordered my replacement tv thanks to Amazon. Cost me £7.91 in real money for a 40 inch Samsung smart tv. :T

Coming Thursday, hopefully I'll be back from the hospital before it arrives! :rotfl: Tried watching Holby on it tonight, its one of only two programmes I generally watch each week. It last signal every 4 minutes, so blank screen and off for a couple of minutes before coming back. Wish I hadn't bothered and just watched it on iplayer, as think I missed more than I saw!

Am hoping the promised snow doesn't arrive, or at least doesn't effect trains, as got to get to London tomorrow for my botox! No doubt I'll be on here bored whilst I wait, just hope I'm near the front of the list in the afternoon and not near the end, as I'll be starving! Not allowed to eat after 6am, so alarm is set for 5.40 to make myself some brekky, then I'll go back to bed for a couple of hours!

OMG, I am so impressed you have pig pets! Do you name them?

(but if a few disappear, it is really not me and Mildred acquiring a few for the hog roast... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

I only started to eat meat last year, so I have never had any meat off a hog roast.... 1st time for everything x

Ginger, Spider, Maisy and Daisy are their names Sunshine :)
Hog roasts are fab. We had one at the night do at my sisters wedding, everybody was so full after the wedding meal nobody could eat it. When we left the next day my mum had trays and trays (a full pig) of pork (that she couldn't let go to waste) to take home! t
